      On April 2, on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, the RTRS branch "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Radio and Television Transmitting Center" will turn on festive illumination on the television tower in Nizhny Novgorod as part of a joint action with the Ministry of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. "The festive lighting of the television tower in the colors of the national flags is a bright symbol of the unbreakable unity of the peoples of Russia and Belarus. Today's event emphasizes the depth of our allied relations and our sincere friendship, which grows stronger every year with new joint projects," said Olga Guseva, Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Digital flags in honor of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia will also be waving on the RTRS television towers in Astrakhan, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Grozny, Kazan, Kostroma, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Samara, Saransk, Tver, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl, and other cities. The holiday has been celebrated annually since 1996, when the presidents of the two countries signed the treaty "On the Formation of the Community of Russia and Belarus." The lighting system of the Nizhny Novgorod television tower consists of LED pixels that form a light panel on its edges and linear projectors that create a "light belt" around the perimeter of the technological site at a height of 140 meters.
