He announced this on his Telegram channel. According to Lyulin, the trials Bout endured did not break him — he did not waver from his beliefs and remained true to himself. He came to the capital of the Volga region with a special purpose — to engage with the youth. At NGLU named after Dobrolyubov, Viktor Bout met with students and discussed with them issues of morality, love for the Motherland, and responsibility for the future. The conversation focused on how to avoid repeating others' mistakes and not to ruin one's own life. "He does not hold a grudge for what happened to him, does not cry out about injustice. He travels to Russian cities and talks to the youth about what matters," noted the speaker of the ZSNO. The parliamentarian added that in conditions where Western propaganda, in his opinion, tries to distort the concepts of family, duty, and Motherland, such meetings acquire special significance. He emphasized that Bout spoke to the students not as a politician or public figure, but as a person who has gone through severe trials and managed to maintain inner resilience. Lyulin also reminded that Bout is a graduate of the Military Institute of Foreign Languages, is involved in politics and business, and has always remained loyal to Russia. According to the chairman of the regional parliament, his fate is an example of how even in the most difficult circumstances one can maintain dignity and remain a patriot.
