April 1, 2026 07:59 Society As of March 31, 2026, four low-water automobile bridges in the Nizhny Novgorod region have been flooded, reported the Central Emergency Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Thus, the bridge over the Kudya River in the Kstovo district was flooded the day before, near the "Kudya" subsidiary farm.

In addition, two bridges over the Kerzhenets River in the Semyonovsky municipal district were underwater, 3 km from the village of Kerzhenets (in the direction of the "Young Nizhny Novgorod" social center). There is no threat of flooding for the village itself, and evacuation of the population is not required. A detour road through the village of Olonikha (distance - 39 km) is provided to ensure transport communication. Additionally, there is a pedestrian bridge 2 km from the flooded area, which remains accessible. Center employees can reach their workplace by boat.

The third flooded bridge is located in the Bor urban district over the Linda River, 1 km from the village of Ostreyevo. Residential houses are not in the flood zone, and automobile communication with the villages of Doenki and Bykovo is not disrupted. A boat crossing with round-the-clock duty has been organized. The Tarasikha-Doenki road, 15 km long, is used for detours.

The agency added that continuous data collection and analysis of the flood situation is currently underway. Every day, the operational groups of municipalities monitoring the flood are checked for their performance.

It was previously reported that 141 settlements and 71 sections of automobile roads could be at risk of flooding in the region.
