The first stage of the operational and preventive operation "Clean Generation - 2026" will take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      From April 6 to April 15, 2026, the first stage of an interagency comprehensive operational-preventive operation, conditionally named "Clean Generation - 2026," is planned to take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The main goal of the operation is to prevent the spread of drug addiction among minors and youth, to identify and suppress instances of their involvement in illegal activities related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic substances, as well as to raise the level of public awareness about the consequences of drug use and the responsibility for participating in their illegal trafficking in the territory of the Russian Federation. Inspections are planned at the places of residence of at-risk minors and asocial families registered with preventive authorities in the prevention system. There will also be organized raids to check places of mass gathering of minors, entertainment and leisure facilities to identify those who involve minors in the use of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances, as well as raids to detect minors using the aforementioned substances without a doctor's prescription. The internal affairs authorities, together with the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, have planned a set of anti-drug measures, including utilizing the capabilities of the Internet. During the operation, explanatory work will be organized in educational institutions in the region with minors and their parents about the harm of drug use, as well as about the responsibility provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation for their illegal trafficking. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs requests the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to actively demonstrate an anti-drug civic position and promptly report any facts of preparing or committing drug-related crimes, including against minors, to the round-the-clock phones of duty units of the internal affairs bodies or to the multi-channel phone 02.
