More than 104 million rubles will be allocated for the modernization of traffic lights on Moscow Highway.

      On March 30, 2026, at 10:31, the MKU "CODD" of Nizhny Novgorod announced six procurements for the modernization of traffic light facilities on Moscow Highway, with a total amount exceeding 104.7 million rubles. This was reported on the government procurement website.

      The work will be carried out as part of the implementation of an intelligent transport system under the federal project "Comprehensive Measures for the Development of Road Management."

      The largest contract, with an initial price of nearly 19.6 million rubles, concerns the section from the Zhirkombinat highway to Sormovsky highway. The modernization will affect traffic lights at the intersections of "Moscow Highway - Maslozhirkombinat" and "Moscow Highway - Sormovsky Highway." The contractor is expected to be determined on April 17, 2026, and the work must be completed by October 30, 2026.

      Another contract worth nearly 18.5 million rubles provides for the updating of facilities on the section from Aktubinskaya Street to Tikhoretskaya Street. The work will take place at the traffic lights "Moscow Highway - Aktubinskaya" and "Moscow Highway - Berezovskaya (Moscow Highway - Panorama)."

      For 14.2 million rubles, it is planned to modernize traffic lights on the segment from house No. 292 to Vtorcheremeta Street — at the facilities "Moscow Highway - Metal Warehouse" and "Moscow Highway – stop Vtorchermeta." The results of these procurements will be summarized on April 20, with a deadline for completion by July 31, 2026.

      A contract with an initial price of 17.1 million rubles covers the section from house No. 304B to house No. 298. The list includes traffic lights "Moscow Highway – stop STO (d. 298)," "Moscow Highway - Gardens," and "Moscow Highway – d. 304B." The results will be summarized on April 16, with a deadline for execution by July 31, 2026.

      18.4 million rubles are planned to be allocated for work in the area of houses No. 296 and No. 250. The modernization will affect the facilities "Moscow Highway - Lesnoy Gorodok," "Moscow Highway - School No. 98," and "Moscow Highway - TC Karusel." The contractor will be selected on April 17, with the completion of work scheduled for July 31, 2026.

      The sixth procurement, costing 17 million rubles, provides for the updating of traffic lights on the section from house No. 340 to Teplichnaya Street — at the facilities "Moscow Highway - Trolleybus Ring" and "Moscow Highway - s/z Gorkovsky." The results of the contractor selection will be summarized on April 16, with a deadline for completion by July 31, 2026.

      It was previously reported that Moscow Highway will be fully synchronized as part of the implementation of an intelligent transport system. Special traffic light operation modes are planned to be set up on the highway for the priority passage of traffic flows. In 2027, a similar approach is intended to be applied on Vaneeva Street, as well as on several road sections in the Avtozavodsky district.
