More than a quarter of Nizhny Novgorod residents choose active recreation over bars on weekends.

      Working residents of Nizhny Novgorod prefer to cope with stress and fatigue through sports, spa treatments, and massages. This data was shared by analysts from the SOK network of service offices on the website pravda-nn.ru.

      According to the survey, almost half of Nizhny Novgorod residents have visited bars and nightclubs less frequently over the past year, and 20% of respondents have reduced their alcohol consumption on weekends. 28% of office workers relax on weekends by engaging in sports, while another 20% prefer spa treatments and massages.

      More than a third of Nizhny Novgorod residents admit that planning their weekends is not easy for them. The main difficulties include financial constraints, the need for family agreements, and the desire to accomplish "everything at once." 44% of respondents are willing to allocate 1,500 to 3,000 rubles for leisure on weekends, while for 30%, the optimal spending amount is 3,000 to 5,000 rubles. Only 19% are willing to spend up to 10,000 rubles, and about 6% are willing to spend up to 15,000 rubles over two days.

      The vast majority of office workers in Nizhny Novgorod (71%) experience anxiety before the start of the workweek. The "Monday fear" is most often associated with a disrupted sleep schedule, the upcoming workload, unresolved personal matters, and a lack of rest. One in six survey participants cannot fully disconnect from work tasks on weekends.
