It has been revealed what weather awaits Nizhny Novgorod residents in mid-January.

      Weather in the Nizhny Novgorod region will be colder than usual in mid-January. This was reported by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Upper Volga UGMS", specifying the forecast for the period from January 11 to 20, 2026.

      According to forecasters, the average air temperature in the region during these ten days will range from -9 to -11 °C. This is about two degrees below the long-term average calculated from observations from 1991 to 2020. Usually at this time temperatures stay between -7 and -9 °C.

      Earlier it was reported that snowfall will once again cover Nizhny Novgorod in the first working week of 2026. By the end of the week Epiphany frosts are expected.
