Nizhny Novgorod Region will take part in an experiment on digital monitoring of bus transportation. This was told by the CEO of JSC GLONASS, Alexey Raykevich. TASS relayed his words back in November. The experiment on the use of the state information system will run from January 15 to November 1, 2026. A total of 32 Russian regions will take part. They will begin testing the innovation on routes between Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.
"St. Petersburg, Novgorod, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod and Tver regions will be pioneers in piloting the experiment," Raykevich clarified.
Thus, the authorities hope to reduce the time to approve routes from 63 to 33 days and simplify the analysis of passenger flows. Citizens themselves will be able to check the carrier before buying tickets. Earlier we reported that a new bus will be launched in Nizhny Novgorod from January 12.
