Marat Fatkhullin is leaving his post as head of Nizhny Novgorod's Department of Digital Transformation. He announced this on social media.
The official noted that he will take a short break, after which he expects to return to creative work.
Fatkhullin entered municipal service in January 2019. At first he held the position of deputy head of the Department of Information and Technical Support and Communications. In August of the same year he began duties as head of the IT Development Department of the city administration (from December 1, 2020 – the Department of Digital Transformation).
Political journalist Andrey Vovk suggested that acting head of the department after Fatkhullin's departure will be his deputy Andrey Stolyarov.
It was previously reported that Sergey Yegorov, accused of taking a bribe, left the post of vice mayor of Nizhny Novgorod.
