24 December 2025 15:59 Society Temporary traffic restrictions are being introduced on the R-177 "Povetluzhye" federal highway in the Voskresensky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The Federal State Institution Uprdor Moscow–Nizhny Novgorod reports that from January 10 to September 15, 2026, major repairs will be carried out on the bridge over the Zimara River at the 123rd kilometer of the route. In this connection the carriageway will be narrowed and the maximum permitted speed will be limited to 40 km/h. To ensure uninterrupted traffic flow, specialists will begin construction of a temporary bypass road. It will allow drivers to bypass the repair site without stopping. Motorists are asked to take into account the changes in traffic organization and to comply with the requirements of road signs as well as the established speed limit. Recall that a contraflow system was introduced in December 2025 on the road between Bor and Makaryev due to repair works.
