      On December 3, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Alexander Pavlov participated in the opening of a new barracks on the premises of the Nizhny Novgorod Higher Military Engineering Command School. This is already the third modular barracks financed by the regional government: the first was erected in 2024, the second in spring 2025.

      "The government of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast has been systematically working since the start of the Special Military Operation to provide assistance to military units and formations, not only those operating at the front line but also to their permanent deployment points. The new barracks will improve servicemen’s living conditions and all necessary amenities to maintain a high level of combat readiness. I am confident that, together, we are bringing our Victory closer, and it will surely be ours!" said Alexander Pavlov.

      The modular administrative and living building accommodates 120 people and is equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable living and work of cadets, including sleeping places, an armory, sanitary and hygiene facilities, a household service room, as well as a room for drying uniforms and footwear. The building is equipped with all engineering utilities: electricity, ventilation, water supply, sewerage, heating and is fully ready for operation. The modular barracks were erected in just six and a half months.

      In addition, in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, in accordance with an agreement between the regional government and the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, a program to develop the military commissariats of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast is being implemented. To ensure security, each commissariat in the municipalities is equipped with emergency call systems for rapid response teams; work is underway to equip the buildings with law-enforcement segment cameras of the "Safe City" automated control system. Ongoing repairs are also being carried out on the premises housing the military commissariats.
