Testing of small-parcel deliveries by drone couriers begins in Nizhny Novgorod.

Test flights for the delivery of industrial goods and small-sized cargo using the Nizhny Novgorod aerocourier — an unmanned aerial vehicle designed for cargo transport — are starting in Nizhny Novgorod. Flights will take place within the city limits, on four routes, between sites located in the Nizhegorodsky, Sovetsky, Prioksky, Leninsky and Kanavinsky districts.
The project is being implemented within the experimental legal regime (ELR) operating in the region, which allows innovative technologies to be tested in conditions as close to real as possible. All flights are scheduled and are carried out in strict accordance with established safety regulations.
Test flights will take place over two months. During the experiment, various delivery routes are planned to be worked out and the technical capabilities of the aerocouriers evaluated. Please note that all aerocouriers are equipped with air navigation equipment and safety lights that will be visible to residents on the ground.
