Torpedo-Gorky ended its home series in defeat.

      On November 19, the hockey players of Torpedo-Gorky ended their home game series with a defeat to Gornyak-UGMK. The winner was decided only in a shootout, where the visitors were more accurate.

      The match began with a quick goal by the hosts. Already in the 4th minute Daniil Ilyin sent the puck into the net — 1:0. However, at the end of the first period the visitors equalized.

      In the second period Gornyak-UGMK took the lead — 1:2. The Nizhny Novgorod side ramped up their attack, but Nikolai Mayorov restored the tie only a second before the break — 2:2.

      The third period started with a quick goal by the visitors. A few minutes later Torpedo-Gorky seized the initiative: Anton Kosolapov equalized, and Ilya Bochkov put the team ahead — 4:3. However, they failed to hold the advantage, and Gornyak-UGMK sent the game into overtime.

      The additional five-minute period passed without goals. In the shootout Dmitry Kosmachev’s charges did not convert any attempts. The match ended 4:5 in favor of the visitors.

      The next match (6+) for the Gorky players will be on November 27 against Perm’s Molot.

      Earlier it was reported that Torpedo lost to Admiral and suffered a second consecutive defeat.
