With the onset of cold weather, rats have begun to more frequently get into Russians' cars in search of warmth. These rodents not only cause inconvenience but can also seriously damage vehicles by gnawing through internal wiring. Auto expert Andrey Osipov, in a conversation with 360.ru, gave several recommendations for protecting cars from this problem.
For garage owners, Osipov advised thoroughly sealing the premises. This will prevent rats from accessing cars stored in garages. For those who leave their cars outdoors, the expert recommended using ultrasonic repellents.
"These devices are inexpensive and can be powered by a battery or the car's electrical system. They are effective and will help protect the vehicle from rodents," Osipov noted.
The expert also mentioned special sprays that repel rats. However, he expressed doubts about their effectiveness, especially under operating conditions of a car, since the engine heats up during operation and the spray evaporates quickly. Therefore, Osipov emphasized, it is more reliable to seal the vehicle storage area or install an ultrasonic repeller.
He confirmed that the problem of rats getting into cars does indeed exist, and the responsibility for this lies with local authorities, who do not take sufficient measures to combat rodents.
