The Order of Courage was presented to the family of Nizhny Novgorod’s SVO hero Ruslan Kamaev.
18 November 2025 18:40 Society — In the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod a ceremony was held to present a state award — the Order of Courage — to the relatives of Private Ruslan Kamaev, who was killed while carrying out combat missions during the special military operation. This was reported by the district administration.
The event took place in the district administration building. The award was presented to the serviceman’s family by the head of the Kanavinsky district, Artyom Ivanov.
He expressed his deep condolences to the family and friends of Ruslan Kamaev and emphasized that the Nizhny Novgorod native’s feat will forever remain in the memory of his fellow townspeople.
“We pay tribute to the memory and respect of Ruslan Yuryevich, who showed boundless bravery and devotion to his country, not sparing his life in its defense. This award is a symbol of courage, strength of spirit and readiness to go all the way for the safety of his compatriots. We will never forget our heroes,” Artyom Ivanov said.
The award presentation took place in the presence of Yuri Vavilov, acting military commissar of the Leninsky and Kanavinsky districts of the city.
Earlier it was reported that two heroes of the special military operation were posthumously awarded in Nizhny Novgorod.
