More than 300 units of alcoholic products were seized from illegal circulation following an inspection carried out by employees of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at a catering enterprise in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. As a result of the measures taken, cases of administrative offenses were initiated.
"Since the beginning of this year, specialists have carried out 31 inspections of trading organizations. As a result, a number of violations were identified. Some companies lacked licenses and accompanying documents for alcoholic products. Following the inspections, 28 administrative offense reports were drawn up. More than 900 units of alcoholic products have been withdrawn from illegal circulation," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Unscheduled inspections are carried out continuously on the basis of appeals received from residents, as well as analysis of the interdepartmental management system in the field of control and licensing developed by the Ministry of Industry.
If residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region have suspicions of illegal trade in alcoholic products, they can contact the regional Ministry of Industry for an inspection of the trading outlet. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the application must be authorized, that is, written in the name of the citizen with confirmation of their passport details.

Recall that the regional Ministry of Industry developed the "Interdepartmental Management System in the Field of Control and Licensing." It consolidates information from the Ministry of Industry, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and the administration of Nizhny Novgorod. The system receives data on identified catering and trading points, as well as on houses and apartments where illegal alcohol sales may be taking place. These include violations such as trade without a license, without accompanying documents and required labeling, as well as underground sales of alcohol of unknown origin. The regional Ministry of Industry was the first in the country to begin using such a system.
