A heavy truck was involved in an accident on the M-7 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region, caused by adverse weather, the press service of the regional traffic police department (GIBDD) reported.
The incident occurred late in the evening on 15 November at the 31st kilometer of the Nizhny Novgorod bypass. According to preliminary information, a 25-year-old driver of a Volvo truck with a semi-trailer lost control due to difficult road conditions.
The vehicle first crashed into the guardrail, after which it left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.
As a result of the accident, the driver sustained injuries of varying severity. The injured person was taken to the Kstovo Central District Hospital to receive medical care.
Earlier it was reported that a pedestrian was struck on a crosswalk in Dzerzhinsk.
