      Nizhny Novgorod utility workers prepared the entrance areas of an apartment building for the winter after a fine from the State Housing Inspectorate. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government.

      According to the statement, the ruined steps and canopies of six entrances of building No. 3 on Timiryazev Street in Nizhny Novgorod were dangerous for residents during snowfalls and icy conditions.

      “The management company was issued an order to eliminate the violations. The legal entity was fined 260,000 rubles. The order has been carried out. The entrance areas have been repaired,” said Maksim Kartunov, head of the Nagorny department of the State Housing Inspectorate.

      Since the beginning of 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod Nagorny department of the State Housing Inspectorate has received more than 12,000 complaints about the unsatisfactory performance of management companies and resource-supplying organizations.
