Gleb Nikitin and Vladimir Mashkov discussed the anniversary of the Union of Theatre Workers.

      The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, held a meeting with the chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, Vladimir Mashkov. The head of the region reported this on his Telegram channel.

      During the conversation the parties discussed preparations for anniversary events timed to the 150th anniversary of the All‑Russian Theatre Society, which will be celebrated next year. The Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia marked its 90th anniversary on November 14.

      Gleb Nikitin noted that this year the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia is celebrating its 90th anniversary. According to him, the region has rich theatrical traditions, and the local branch unites more than 400 representatives of the theatrical sphere from 13 theatres.

      The governor emphasized that theatre companies from across the country regularly come to the Nizhny Novgorod Region to take part in the festivals "Actors of Dramatic Theatres Sing" (6+) and "Merry Goat" (6+). He added that these events have become an important part of the city's event program and are popular with audiences.

      Gleb Nikitin also congratulated the region's theatre community on the anniversary and wished them creative energy and inspiration for new projects.
