      Today, November 4, the whole country is celebrating National Unity Day. In Nizhny Novgorod, the festival "People's Unity" (0+) is taking place on the occasion of the holiday.

      As part of the festival, the federal event "Khorovod" has already taken place with the participation of representatives of various peoples, highlighting the multinational composition of the population of the Nizhny Novgorod region. And on the stage throughout the day folklore and national ensembles from different regions of Russia are performing.

      In addition, visitors can attend an exhibition-fair of the folk arts and crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region and take part in master classes held by local enterprises.

      In the sports area, guests are invited to complete the standards of the All-Russian VFSK GTO complex, play gorodki, bandy (hockey with a ball), checkers, chess, backgammon, dominoes, and also test their accuracy by throwing valenki (traditional felt boots) and sacks at targets.

      Also, in honor of the holiday, a support campaign for fighters of the Special Military Operation (SVO) called "Everything for Victory!" is being held. Everyone wishing can participate in making camouflage nets and trench candles and in collecting aid for our servicemen. The event is organized with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. For those who want to offer moral support to the fighters, there is a space for writing letters to soldiers.
