Alexander Pavlov coordinates the work of the executive bodies of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on the following issues:
- interaction of the Governor, the Government and other executive bodies of the Nizhny Novgorod Region with law enforcement agencies, as well as with judicial authorities and prosecutorial bodies — within the scope of authority of the executive bodies he supervises;
- exercise of the powers of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in ensuring public, economic and information security, law and order, countering terrorism, extremism and corruption, and combating the illicit circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region;
- organization and provision of mobilization training and mobilization on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and ensuring the exercise of powers in the field of protection of information constituting state secrets;
- organizational support of the activities of justices of the peace of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and their staffs, and financial support of state notarial offices and legal consultation services;
- exercise of the powers of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region under the agreement concluded between the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, concerning the organization and conduct of emergency rescue and other urgent works during intermunicipal and regional emergencies;
- implementation of the Concept for the construction and development of the hardware-software complex “Safe City”;
- operational support for the implementation of decisions of particular and priority importance for ensuring normal living conditions and affecting all spheres of life support of the population of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, other citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons lawfully present in the region may register for the reception if their issue has not been resolved at the local level and requires the personal involvement of the Deputy Governor.
