Shane Prince clinched the win for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod late in the game.

      October 22, 2025 22:26 Sport Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" beat HC "Sochi" on the road 3–1. This is Nizhny Novgorod's second win over "Sochi" this season.

      The first period began actively. Yegor Sokolov, assisted by Alexey Kruchinin and Anton Sizov, opened the scoring in the second minute. After that the play was even. At the end of the first period Kirill Voronin had a good chance — he went one-on-one, but Sochi's goalkeeper came to the rescue.

      In the second period the hosts equalized, converting a five-minute power play. Denis Kostin had a difficult time during the 5-on-3, but that goal turned out to be the only one conceded by the Nizhny Novgorod side in the match.

      At the start of the third period Torpedo had a chance to play with a two-man advantage but failed to convert it. The decisive stretch came at the end of the match. Two minutes before the final buzzer newcomer Shane Prince scored his first goal for Torpedo — 1–2. He then sealed the win, scoring his second goal seven seconds before the end of the game. Defenceman Denis Alexandrov, known to fans for his play with the farm club, delivered the assist and recorded his first point for the main team.

      With 23 points, Torpedo are second in the Western Conference.
