Giant matryoshka dolls featuring photos of celebrities appeared on Yarmarochnaya Square.

October 19, 2025, 12:17 Culture and Leisure Yarmarochnaya Square became the venue for an unusual exhibition (0+) for two days — it featured giant art objects in the form of matryoshkas depicting the most decorated artists. The installations are timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of "Russkoe Radio" and the anniversary ceremony of the "Golden Gramophone" music awards.

Visitors will be able to see large-scale likenesses of Philipp Kirkorov, Nikolai Baskov, Grigory Leps, Dima Bilan, Ani Lorak, Dmitry Malikov, Sergey Lazarev and Valeria. Over three decades, these performers have become record-holders for the number of "Golden Gramophone" awards received.

The exhibition is part of an all-Russian project: the art objects are traveling through cities across Russia.

The matryoshkas were not chosen by chance, as the organizers note, "they are one of the main symbols of Russian culture, invariably evoking associations with the country's history, its distinctive art and soulfulness." The visual design was created by artist and designer Alexandra Eribekova.

Earlier it was reported that an exhibition about home-front heroes (12+) opened in Lyskovo. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
