Fifty-four kindergartens and 17 schools are partially closed for quarantine due to acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the Nizhny Novgorod region as of now. This was reported by the regional Rospotrebnadzor.
During epidemiological monitoring in the region, more than 15,000 people were examined. Among the identified pathogens, rhinovirus and parainfluenza predominate. Cases of infection with bocaviruses, metapneumoviruses, RSV (respiratory syncytial viruses) and mycoplasma have also been laboratory-confirmed.
At the current time one kindergarten in the region is completely closed for quarantine. The educational process has been partially suspended in 17 schools and 54 preschool institutions.
To prevent viral diseases it is recommended to follow several basic rules. You should wash your hands regularly with soap, limit visits to places with large crowds, and use medical masks.
