The morning at Freedom Square began with a traffic collapse. A large traffic jam was caused by a car abandoned directly on the roadway next to the metro construction site.
The situation is compounded by the fact that the stretch of road at this location is already narrow — only two lanes. Because of the parked car, traffic was virtually blocked.
The jam stretched from Varvarskaya Street toward Belinsky Street.
However, traffic is expected to normalize shortly. According to a correspondent for NIA "Nizhny Novgorod", police officers have already arrived at the scene. They said a tow truck will remove the vehicle.
Earlier it was reported that bollards with cameras and a license plate recognition system were installed on Kozhevennaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod.
