Rumors appeared online about a possible disconnection of the MAX messenger from the Gosuslugi portal due to discovered vulnerabilities. These reports quickly spread via Telegram channels, but authoritative sources denied the information, reports TV channel "360".
The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia officially stated that a disconnection is not planned. The ministry commented that the MAX messenger meets modern security requirements and is a reliable communication tool.
Yuri Gamzatov, Minister of Digital Development of Dagestan, urged residents not to trust unverified information that could cause panic. He stressed that the ministry is working to improve the security of digital services.
It is worth noting that the MAX messenger is regularly updated to enhance security. In August, a "Report" feature was added, allowing users to report suspicious messages. The security center processes inquiries promptly. A safe mode with privacy settings is also planned, including profile hiding and blocking incoming calls from unknown numbers.
As Vladimir Tabak, CEO of ANO "Dialog", said at a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development, the messenger's audience is growing, which makes it a target for cyberattacks by fraudsters. Thus, from July to September 2025, 27 fake messages about MAX were identified, which were reposted 95,000 times. The reach of all these posts amounted to about 230 million views.
