Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova spoke at the federal educational marathon "Knowledge.First," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russia's nuclear industry. The event took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The athlete, the only person in the country's history to have held all the major international titles in women's singles figure skating, shared her experience of overcoming difficulties on the path to the top of the sport.

Zagitova noted that there were periods of reduced motivation and injuries in her career, but her love for figure skating helped her return to the sport and continue training each time. According to her, it was sport that taught her perseverance, patience, endurance, and a drive for new achievements.

Today the Olympic champion continues to develop in new directions. In particular, when working on ice shows, she tries to heed the advice of more experienced colleagues and is not afraid to admit when she does not know something. Zagitova emphasized that during her work in production she has had to master many related areas.

"You could say that I've taken a crash course in all the areas related to staging: from writing and editing music to fire inspection," the athlete said.

Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod gymnast Dina Averina married figure skater Dmitry Solovyov.
