Residents of Nizhny Novgorod will be able to exchange coins for banknotes.

      The nationwide campaign "Coin Week" (18+) began on September 22 and will run until October 4, the press service of the Volga-Vyatka Main Department of the Bank of Russia reported.

      As part of the initiative, residents of Nizhny Novgorod can exchange accumulated small change for banknotes or have the funds credited to a bank account.

      Coins are accepted both by branches of several commercial banks and by some retail chains. The full list of addresses is available on the campaign's official website — монетнаянеделя.рф.

      Any coins in circulation can be deposited, including those that are damaged or have tarnished over time.

      Recall that in a similar campaign in spring 2025, Nizhny Novgorod residents brought in more than one million coins. The total amount collected then exceeded 4 million rubles.
