The lecture "Scenarios of the Future and Dystopia: How to Avoid the Grim Future Predicted in Books and Films?" (12+) will take place in Nizhny Novgorod on September 23, organizers said.
The event will feature a talk by futurist and science fiction researcher Sergey Shikarev and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Deputy Chair of the Nizhny Novgorod government Ekaterina Solntseva.
Attendees will learn where the line lies between scientific progress and moral responsibility, whether scientific forecasting can become a bridge between generations, and whether AI can create art despite lacking emotions. Listeners will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions.
Admission to the event is free, but requires prior registration.
