      Trail cameras installed in the forests of the Krasnobakovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region captured rare footage of wild animals. According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry, the cameras recorded a lynx, a fox and a raccoon dog.

      The videos were recorded at different times as part of a wildlife monitoring program. Trail cameras allow specialists to study animal behavior, their habitats and migration routes, which helps take measures to conserve the population.

      According to state monitoring data, 622 lynxes, 2,959 foxes and 384 raccoon dogs inhabit the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2025. The footage obtained confirms the activity of these species in the region.
