A mobile photo and video enforcement complex for traffic violations will begin operating in Plotnichny Lane in Nizhny Novgorod from September 19. This was reported by the Region’s Center for Transport System Development.

The camera is installed in a specialized vehicle and will record instances of illegal stopping and parking. The decision was made against the backdrop of regular violations despite signs prohibiting parking in the area.

As the CRTS explained, the large number of parked cars in Plotnichny Lane obstructs public transport. This particularly affects buses on route No. 42, which had to be temporarily shortened due to difficult passage — they now run only from Komsomolskaya Square to Gorky Square.

“To restore buses to their established route, the State Public Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region ‘CRTS’ will organize the operation of the mobile complex,” the center noted, adding that an administrative fine of 2,250 rubles is provided for violations of stopping and parking rules.

Earlier it was reported that from September 25 parking will be restricted on two sections near “Switzerland.”
