Nizhny Novgorod residents were reminded how to act in the event of a drone attack.

      Society: The Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reminded residents of the region of the basic safety rules in case of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

      Thus, if a person is inside a building at that moment, it is important, if possible, to go down to the lower floors, to the basement or to a parking garage. It is strictly not recommended to use the elevator.

      If it is impossible to go down, one should find shelter between load-bearing walls and stay away from windows. The bathroom is considered one of the safest places. There one should sit on the floor.

      If a drone raid catches a person outdoors, they should as soon as possible take shelter in the nearest building, underpass or parking garage. People in cars are advised to leave the vehicle immediately and find a safe shelter.

      If a drone falls nearby, residents of Nizhny Novgorod are strongly advised not to touch the debris. They should move away from the scene as quickly as possible and report the finding by calling 112.

      Earlier, the Operational Headquarters of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reminded residents of the region about the existing ban on publishing on the Internet and in the mass media information concerning military infrastructure facilities and the consequences of drone attacks. Violation of this ban entails administrative liability in accordance with Article 2.26 of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Code "On Administrative Offenses."

      Recall that on the night of September 16 a Ukrainian drone was shot down over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
