During planned inspection surveys, specialists of the Subscriber Relations Center of JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal" identified from January to September 2025 ninety-one commercial real estate properties whose owners had not contacted the vodokanal to conclude agreements for the use of cold water supply and/or wastewater disposal services. Of these, 54 properties are non-residential premises in apartment buildings, and 37 properties are standalone administrative buildings.
Work is underway regarding 64 properties to conclude connection agreements, or measures to disconnect them from the networks of JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal" are being agreed. Another 17 owners have already signed agreements for the provision of cold water supply and/or wastewater disposal services. The remaining 10 unlawfully connected properties are being disconnected from the centralized cold water supply and/or centralized wastewater disposal system of the vodokanal.
For the period from January to September 2025 the vodokanal issued bills for uncontracted consumption totaling more than 7.5 million rubles, of which about 5 million rubles has already been paid; 2.5 million rubles is the outstanding debt of legal entities illegally using the company's services to the enterprise.
Earlier, JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal" identified 50 unlawfully connected residential properties on Uyutny Lane in the Novinki settlement. In total, for the period from January to September 2025 Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal identified 75 private houses with unauthorized connections to the centralized water supply and sewerage networks. All necessary preliminary work is being carried out on such properties, up to restricting access to the company's services. This measure is extreme and is applied to persistent offenders.
The vodokanal reminds: if an offender wishes to have services restored after being disconnected from the company's services, they have the right to apply to the Center for Project and Technical Approvals. The CPTA is located at: Kerchenskaya St., 15a. Within 20 working days from the date of receipt of the application JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal" issues a connection agreement to the centralized cold water supply and/or wastewater disposal systems. A list of documents required to conclude a connection agreement and the subsequent steps are outlined in a special section of the JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal" website.
