Repairs to staircases No. 1 and No. 2 at Zarechnaya metro station in Nizhny Novgorod have been completed.

      Stairways No. 1 and No. 2 at the "Zarechnaya" metro station in Nizhny Novgorod have been completely renovated. According to the "Metro NN" Telegram channel, the major works took about six months.

      During the upgrade new pavilions were installed, designed in a unified architectural style. The stair flights and landings were also repaired, a system for heating the steps was installed, the walls were faced with porcelain stoneware, stainless steel handrails and railings were fitted, and a ventilated façade was made. In addition, CCTV and intercom devices were connected.

      Accessible platforms for people with limited mobility will also appear there in the near future.

      Recall that in April construction of new covered pavilions at these stairways began. Soon a similar pavilion will be installed at stairway No. 6 of the same station. In addition, the roof at stairway No. 3 is planned to be repaired — nearly 1.4 million rubles have been allocated for this work.

      It was previously reported that due to the repairs traffic on a section of Lenin Avenue is temporarily restricted.
