The public transport stop "Dvorets sporta" (Sports Palace) has been renamed in Nizhny Novgorod. This follows from the mayor's decree of September 3, 2025, posted on the city administration's website.
The stop in question is located on the route toward Lyadov Square, next to building No. 46 on Gagarin Avenue. The stop has now been given a new name — "Presidential Academy." This decision was made in connection with the nearby campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
The city's transport department has been instructed to notify the regional ministry of transport and highways about the renaming. This is necessary to make the corresponding changes in the register of public transport routes.
Earlier it was reported that the intersection of Osharskaya and Oktyabrskaya streets in Nizhny Novgorod will be closed to traffic for almost two weeks due to tram track repairs.
