The media facade at the Ice Arena on Strelka is now operational.

       A media facade began operating on the new Ice Arena at Strelka. The first broadcasts on the big screen were timed to coincide with the celebration of the city's 804th anniversary.

       Congratulatory images are being shown in slideshow format. One of the slides contains the inscription "Happy City Day" and portraits of the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Gleb Nikitin and the Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Yuri Shalabaev.

       One of the images displays the figures "804" — exactly how many years our city is celebrating today — as well as a tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

       The slide cycle concludes with the message: "Nizhny is changing for you!".

       Earlier, Gleb Nikitin stated that the actual construction readiness of the Ice Arena at Strelka is 93%.

       The theme of this year's celebration is "Heroes Among Us". As part of the festivities, special attention will be paid to participants of the special military operation and to veterans. The central events (6+) will take place on 16 August at Minin and Pozharsky Square.

       For Nizhny Novgorod residents in different parts of the city (6+), the groups Uma2rman, Mirage, Reflex, Iowa, the duo Filatov & Karas, Stas Piekha and Yulianna Karaulova will perform.

       On the day of the celebration, 16 August, alcohol sales will be banned in Nizhny Novgorod. Also, traffic restrictions will be introduced in several districts, including the city center. The changes will also affect public transport routes.

       By the way, a fireworks display is not planned for City Day.
