Nizhny Novgorod resident declined Oxford and Harvard for NNSU

      Society: Nizhnegorodka chose Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, although she was expected at two prestigious foreign universities. This was reported by the university's press secretary, Alexei Nikonov, on his Telegram channel.

      The girl is from Sarov. She finished her senior classes abroad. However, she consciously chose Russia over Oxford and Harvard for higher education. They offered her scholarships and partial housing coverage there.

      The day before, she was admitted to Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University without entrance exams. She earned this right by winning an Olympiad in ninth grade. Now, she will study biology.

      According to Maria Vedenova, director of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine at NNGu, more and more graduates of Western schools prefer to continue their studies at Russian universities.

      It was previously reported that Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University and Aleseev Nizhny Novgorod Technical University ranked among the top 100 best universities in Russia.
