Incidents. The mayor of the Arzamas urban district, Alexander Shchelokov, spoke about the consequences of the severe weather that struck the city on the evening of August 2. He posted on his Telegram channel.
"We have an initial picture of power outages, but it seems there is more to come. Work has already begun. They will be addressing from the larger to the smaller," Shchelokov informed.
The official clarified that he is in contact with the management of Nizhny Novgorodenergo. "I sent a request for additional crews for rural settlements (Chernukha, Lomovka)," the mayor of Arzamas wrote.
Flooding is observed at nearly 100 addresses in the lower part of Arzamas and in Vyezdnoye. According to him, utility workers will prioritize work in the Lermontov-Krylov-October neighborhoods. He also plans to work on-site himself.
"There are issues with torn and damaged roofs. For houses managed by management companies, we pass the work on to them. For houses without management companies, everyone needs to get involved. Meanwhile, they will assess the cost of damages and repairs," the district head said.
Regarding fallen trees, nearly 20 requests have been received. They will begin processing them in an hour.
Additionally, there have been disruptions in the work of the 112 emergency service. "They are switching communications to generators," the official said. The "Vodoprі" camp was also transferred to a generator.
There were also flooding incidents in two kindergartens.
It is reminded that heavy rains with hail are also expected overnight and on August 3 during the day.
