Seven people injured in a truck accident on M-7 in the Nizhny Novgorod region

      Incidents in Vorotynsky District: police officers are investigating the details of a traffic accident that injured seven people. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs' press service.

      According to preliminary information, the accident occurred around 17:50 on July 29 at the 558th kilometer of the M-7 "Moscow–Kazan" highway. The driver of a 2001 Renault, moving in the acceleration lane intending to overtake other vehicles, began to merge from the shoulder into the right lane. During the maneuver, the vehicle collided with a Scania truck. After that, the driver lost control, and the car veered into oncoming traffic and went off the road into a ditch.

      As a result of the incident, all seven passengers of the Renault were injured. Among them are a woman born in 1978, two girls born in 2000 and 2005, two girls born in 2006, and two men born in 1989 and 1968.

      All the injured were taken to a medical facility for assistance.

      The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is conducting an investigation to establish all circumstances and causes of the incident.
