Nizhny Novgorod residents were told how to protect themselves during shelling or a UAV attack

      The specialists of the Nizhny Novgorod State Emergency Prevention Ministry reminded citizens how to protect themselves during drone attacks or shelling. The safety instructions were published in the emergency agency's Telegram channel.

      If a person is inside a building at the time of a drone attack, they should go to the basement, lower floors, or parking area. If there is no parking or basement, they need to find rooms with load-bearing walls, sit on the floor near a concrete wall, and crouch down. It is important to stay away from windows. Experts note that the safest place in a apartment is the bathroom.

      Outside, upon hearing the whistling sound of a shell, you should fall to the ground and cover your head with your hands or enter the nearest building, underground passage, or parking lot. If there are no buildings nearby, any depression, protrusion, or concrete structure should be chosen. Remain in the shelter until the shelling ends.

      After the attack, carefully watch your step, do not pick up unexploded munitions or objects from the ground, and keep children close to you.
