Emergency demographic assistance

      Psychological support will be provided to women in the Nizhny Novgorod region who are facing postpartum depression, infertility issues, family crises, or other life situations. Free consultations with specialists will be available in person at women's clinics or online via video conference (your choice). The initiative is implemented by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Demographic Development Institute" as part of the "Emergency Demographic Assistance" program.

      – Support for women and families is a priority area of the region’s social policy. We aim to create conditions so that every woman in Nizhny Novgorod facing a difficult life situation can access timely qualified help. The new program offers support in a convenient format. "Emergency demographic help is caring for families and a step toward strengthening the region’s demographics," emphasized Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Appointments can be made by calling the hotline at 8-800-775-31-52, and soon this service will also be available on the website osnovano.ru.

      According to the Demographic Development Institute, the project will be able to support all mothers in need in a comfortable manner. Until recently, free psychological counseling was only available at women’s clinics—strictly for patients registered there. Now, under the program of the Demographic Development Institute, qualified specialized experts will assist all mothers seeking support, regardless of their registration location, including those in remote areas, via video communication.

      The goal of this new support format for women is to relieve the workload of psychologists working in women’s clinics who prioritize pregnant women, making such help more accessible to a larger number of people.
