Incidents
In the Sharan District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a bailiff accidentally discovered a tax debtor who was hiding from fulfilling her obligations by working unofficially at a cafe. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia in the region.
It is noted that seven enforcement proceedings were initiated against 65-year-old resident of the district, totaling 286,000 rubles. The woman had not paid her taxes for a year, and after the documents were received by the bailiff service, measures were taken: seized bank funds, restricted registration actions for a VAZ car, and imposed a travel ban abroad.
Since the debtor was unofficially employed and avoided contact with the bailiffs, officers visited her address to seize property. However, they found only an empty premises there.
The situation changed due to a chance encounter and the attentiveness of the bailiff. Passing by one of the city cafes, the bailiff noticed a parked vehicle belonging to the debtor. Inside the establishment, the woman herself was found—she was working there unofficially. She was served with a notice of the enforcement measures.
The next day, the woman from Nizhny Novgorod fully paid off her debt, including the enforcement fee of about 17,000 rubles. All restrictions were then lifted, and the enforcement proceedings were concluded.
Earlier, the department reported that someone else's debt caused a delay for a newlywed couple at their wedding. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel. Subscribe to stay informed about main events, exclusive materials, and operational information.
