Four new schools for 3,800 students have opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      September 1, 2026 13:53 Society Four new schools opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region on Knowledge Day, with a total of 3,800 places. This was reported by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Max channel.

      The new educational institutions began operations in Vorsma, Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Bor. Additionally, after a complete modernization, a school in Vyksa welcomed students.

      The governor also mentioned that he attended the ceremonial line-ups in various municipalities of the region. In particular, he visited the opening of School No. 2 in Vorsma.

      The new educational institution is designed for 600 students. According to Nikitin, the school was built as part of the national project "Youth and Children" on the site of the old building. Its capacity has increased by almost half.

      He added that now the educational process in the school will be organized only in the first shift, so children will have more opportunities to engage in sections and clubs.

      "The infrastructure is at the highest standards: an assembly hall for 288 seats, an electronic library, two gymnasiums, and even a planetarium!" noted Gleb Nikitin.

      This year, two first-grade classes have started in the new educational institution. The governor wished the students that their knowledge would become a solid foundation for future achievements and help them choose the right path in adult life.
