Entry to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin will be restricted on City Day.

      On August 14, 2026, at 19:37 Society On August 15, access to the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin will only be possible after a security check using metal detectors. This was reported by the administration of Nizhny Novgorod region. At the same time, some familiar entrances will be closed. In particular, it will not be possible to pass through the gates of the Powder, Northern, and Nikolskaya towers. From 06:00 to 22:00, entry and exit will be organized through the gates of the Storage and Ivanov towers. From 12:00 to 22:00, an additional passage through the gates of the Dmitrievskaya tower will be opened. Another option to enter and exit the Kremlin is through the lower station of the funicular, which will operate from 10:00 to 21:00. We remind you that the main festive events (0+) will take place in Minin and Pozharsky Square on August 15. In the evening, Oleg Gazmanov will perform in the square, and Sergey Galanin with his band "SeryGA" will perform in the "Switzerland" park.
