Nikitin discussed the development of tourism infrastructure with the head of the Corporation "Tourism.RF".

      On August 14, 2026, at 09:01, Politics Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin discussed the prospects for the development of tourist infrastructure in the region with the General Director of the Corporation Tourism.RF Vasily Shvets.

      As reported in his Max channel, the regional head personally conducted a tour for guests around the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

      “To be honest, I can talk for hours about this sacred place. Especially when so much effort, love, and resources, after all, are directed towards large-scale reconstruction work, recreating lost objects,” noted Gleb Nikitin.

      The meeting participants also took a ride on the Nizhny Novgorod funicular. Nikitin reminded that it was recreated based on historical drawings and runs in a tunnel right under the Kremlin wall. According to him, this is the only funicular in Russia with such a route.

      The regional head added that he was glad to discuss tourism development during a personal meeting on Nizhny Novgorod soil, as it better conveys and understands the atmosphere of the place.

      Nikitin thanked Vasily Shvets for the visit and expressed confidence that many necessary and interesting joint projects await the region and the corporation ahead.
