Experts discussed what to pay attention to when choosing clothing for students at a press conference on August 11, attended by a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." According to industry representatives, one of the popular options remains the checkered school uniform. This pattern makes the clothing less strict, and small stains on the fabric can be less noticeable, which is especially relevant for elementary school students.

      "I am a mother of many children and can say that in elementary school, especially from first to fourth grade, I always prefer checks. Pea soup or borscht on 'checks' is not so noticeable," noted Elvira Dozorova, director of a company that manufactures school uniforms.

      According to her, among the traditional colors of school uniforms, black, gray, and blue are in demand. Various combinations are used for checkered models, including blue-red, gray-pink, beige, and light gray shades. Some lyceums and gymnasiums choose blue-red checks for their school uniforms. When choosing a uniform, specialists recommend paying attention not only to the appearance but also to the fabric composition. As noted by the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Rospotrebnadzor, a child spends several hours a day in school clothing, so it should be comfortable, not restrict movement, and not cause irritation.

      The fabric may contain natural and synthetic fibers, including cotton, viscose, linen, and wool. Blended fabrics that combine different types of fibers are also used for school uniforms. When purchasing clothing, parents are advised to carefully study the labeling. It should contain information about the composition of the product, size, manufacturer, and care recommendations.

      Additionally, it is important to choose the right size. The school uniform should not restrict the child's movements. Specialists also do not recommend buying clothing with too much extra room: it should be comfortable for the student throughout the entire school day.
