The Semashko Hospital is purchasing a firewall for 2.4 million rubles.
The state budgetary healthcare institution of the Nizhny Novgorod region "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N.A. Semashko" has announced the procurement of a "next-generation firewall" hardware and software complex. The information has been posted on the government procurement website. The initial (maximum) cost of the procurement is 2.4 million rubles. The supplier must deliver, install, and set up the equipment at the address: Nizhny Novgorod, Rodionova Street, house 190, within 60 calendar days from the date of contract signing. The firewall is a "protective barrier" between the hospital's internal network and external networks (including the internet). In other words, it is a "smart gateway" that decides who can access the network and who cannot, as well as checks whether the passing traffic poses a threat to the hospital's computer system. Requirements for the complex include a hardware platform based on an Intel Atom processor or equivalent, at least 64 GB of RAM, and solid-state drives starting from 240 GB. Two power supply units are provided for uninterrupted operation. The software must operate on the Russian operating system Astra Linux (which, by the way, is based on a non-Russian OS Linux) and be included in the registry of domestic software. The complex itself must have a certificate from the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of Russia. It is worth noting that earlier, 20.5 million rubles were allocated for the procurement of a "KAMAZ" for the "Nizhny Novgorod Metro."
