Passengers from three flights were sent to Moscow by buses from Nizhny Novgorod.
July 13, 2026 09:40 Society Passengers from three flights that landed in Nizhny Novgorod as a backup airfield were transported to Moscow via organized bus transfers. This was reported by the press service of the air harbor.
Recall that the Chkalov airport operated as a backup for the Moscow aviation hub due to flight restrictions at the capital's airports and adverse weather conditions. In total, it received 21 flights, including one international.
By the decision of the airlines, passengers from three flights were sent to the capital by bus. Some people made their own way to Moscow using ground transportation.
The remaining passengers waited for further departures in the terminal or on board the planes. Representatives of the airlines and airport staff worked with them.
Additionally, it should be noted that at night, restrictions were introduced at the airport's operations - it accepted and dispatched flights in coordination with the relevant authorities. In the morning, these restrictions were lifted. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
