Bastrikin became interested in the poisoning of children at eco-camps near Perevoz.

      On July 8, 2026, at 10:16, Incidents: The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to present him with a report on the investigation of a criminal case following the deterioration of children's health at specialized educational camps in the Perevozsky district. This was reported by the information center of the agency.

      Recall that the environmental camp session was prematurely concluded after numerous complaints from teenagers about their health. After dinner, children began to complain of stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and fever. Some of them were taken to the infectious disease department, and an ambulance was called to the camp.

      Parents reported a large number of sick children and suggested that the cause might have been dinner, as well as possible violations of sanitary norms and living conditions. According to them, children saw insects and rodents in the camp.

      The official reason for closing the session was cited as an accident on the heating main and the lack of hot water. The camp stated that only a few children with mild ailments sought medical help, and the deterioration of their condition could be related to the hot weather.

      Rospotrebnadzor is also conducting an inspection. The situation is under the control of the regional Ministry of Education.

      A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to the Investigative Committee, all minors who sought medical assistance received it in full. There is no threat to their lives and health.

      Information about the progress of the investigation and the established circumstances will be sent to the central office of the agency. Bastrykin gave the corresponding instruction to the head of the regional Investigative Committee, Airat Akhmetshin.
