      In the municipal district of the city of Shakhunya in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 68 residents of emergency housing received keys to new apartments. The relocation became possible thanks to the implementation of a regional targeted program for relocating citizens from emergency housing, recognized as such from January 1, 2017, to January 1, 2022, as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." For the relocation, 37 apartments were purchased in a new five-story building on Komsomolskaya Street. The building is equipped with central heating, electricity, cold and hot water supply systems, the adjacent territory is landscaped, and a children's playground has been installed. As noted by the head of the local government of the municipal district of Shakhunya, Anton Pugachev, the necessary conditions for comfortable living have been created for the newcomers. The construction of the building allowed for the resettlement of emergency housing with a total area of more than 1,300 square meters. The Minister of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Dmitry Grunichev, emphasized that the handover of keys was the result of joint work by the regional government, the Legislative Assembly, and municipalities, with constant monitoring of construction timelines and quality. Starting in 2025, at the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, a new national project "Infrastructure for Life" is being implemented in Russia, which is a continuation of the project "Housing and Urban Environment."
